We hope this site will be of interest, and of use to both members of the Order and to Freemasons who wish to learn more and maybe thinking of joining the Order.
Our Order is based on the historic records of the life and the legend of King Athelstan. It reflects and recognises how early reference to the importance of Masonry in English history was significant for the development of speculative Freemasonry.
The Order was founded in 2005 to encourage and prompt members to further study and research. Membership is strictly invitational, and members are expected to take a wide and committed interest in all aspects of Freemasonry. There is a mandatory requirement for members to maintain current active membership of both Craft and Royal Arch Masonry. We are fully committed to supporting the United Grand Lodge of England and all members of the Order are expected to give their full support and allegiance to the UGLE.
Bwriad Urdd Saeryddiaith Athelstan yw i annog a sbarduno aelodau i gyflawni ymchwil ac astudiaethau pellach. O ganlyniad, mae pob ymgeisydd yn cael ei ddethol yn ofalus ar sail ei ddiddordeb mewn hanes Searyddiaith ac yna’n cael ei gyflwyno i’n Urdd.
Drwy wahoddiad yn unig mae ymuno â’r Urdd. Mae disgwyl i aelodau ymddiddori yn eang ym mhob agwedd o Saeryddiaith ac felly mae’n ofynnol i bob ymgeisydd fod yn aelod cyfredol a gweithgar o’r Grefft ac o Saeryddiaith y Bwa Brenhinol. I’r perwyl hwn, rydyn ni wedi ymrwymo i gefnogi Prif Gyfrinfa Unedig Lloegr, a disgwylir i bob aelod o’r Urdd gefnogi a bod yn deyrngar i’r PGULl. Mae’r Urdd yn seiliedig ar gofnodion hanesyddol am fywyd a gwaith y Brenin Athelstan.
